Presenting a unique merger of performer and technology, Human jukebox x n is a sonic installation that gives its audience the power to control the music of their surroundings through specially designed jukebox systems connected independently to each member of the in-house pop band, The Reanimators, via headphones.

The band, having compiled individual playlists of their favourite tunes, accessible from the jukeboxes, have been instructed to play along to every song they hear over their headphones. Thus, it is up to the audience to 'program' the band, and in doing so the frozen material of the chosen records is brought back to life through the inherently personal musical response and interpretation of each band member.

For this performance The Reanimators will be made up by Anikó Tóth on vocals, Pat Allison on electric guitar, Richard Glover on keyboards and Jansch on bass guitar.

Of Mute Things is an audiovisual installation consisting of twelve or more CRT televisions connected to individual freeview boxes set to different channels. It explores the inadvertent sound world of 'muted' electronics, and seeks to develop a greater sensitivity between ourselves and our immediate, and often unnoticed, sonic environment.

With all televisions set to mute, a number of individual drones are created. Contact microphones fixed to the television screens feed into a custom-made control centre created in Max/MSP. These drones are then allocated one of eight speakers surrounding the audience. The installation is completely indeterminate as the sound depends on the specifics of each channel

Rob Lycett and Iman Moradi

"... visual glitches are quite often fleeting artifacts that momentarily offer a glimpse of the inner workings and complexities of storage, display and communication technology" Iman Moradi, Glitch: Designing Imperfection (2009)

Rob Lycett and Iman Moradi are two visual artists who repeatedly explore the transient nature of the glitch. Their creative practices have evolved from teaching and research themes from within Digital Media Design subject area in the School of Art, Design & Architecture at the University of Huddersfield. Angelic Conversations is a collection of new artworks brought together for in tones: brass/jukebox/television/glitch.
